Foothills Market: The Market is Open!
This week, we’ll feature the meats available on Foothills Market. We have several growers offering four different kinds of meat.
- Happy Horseshoe Farm – beef
- Little Piney Farm and Apiary – pastured chicken
- Sheepy Hollow Farm – beef, lamb and pork
There are different cuts for each type of meat, ranging from whole pieces like roast or chicken breast to convenient ground meat.
If you are not a meat eater, maybe you would prefer some mushrooms from The Fortunate Mushroom. He offers lion’s mane and oyster mushrooms, both of which can serve as meat substitutes.
Shop the market between now and Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. We’ll have your order ready for pickup on Thursday afternoon.

Lavender Cottage: Several freeze dried items – fruit and/or vegetables and candies. The dried vegetable can add extra flavor to any vegetale soup or dish you are preparing.
Calico Farm is back this week debut our pumpkin chocolate chips scones – sold in 3 packs & bursting with delicious fall flavors. These were super popular at our in-person markets this year, so here’s your chance to get yours!
We also have our organic medium salsa – made with late-season jalapenos from Servant Farms in Watertown and our very-own vine-ripened tomatoes from right here at Calico Farms in Lascassas. Canned in -16 oz jars & waiting to top your eggs or next taco Tuesday.
We have 2 types of gluten free cookies this week- both sold in 6-packs – chocolate crinkle or peanut butter oatmeal chocolate chip. Both are dairy free & organic as well.
Finally, get that pantry stocked for your Thanksgiving baking with our organic raw vanilla sugar. NashPhilly: New dishes! This week we have two new additions to our delicious menu.
Chicken & Dumplings and Cornbread Dressing.
Chicken & Dumplings- Your feel good dish of hand pulled chicken cooked in its own stew, with carrots and celery, some Italian herbs, and hand made from scratch dumplings.
Cornbread Dressing- Sweet and savory side, made with chicken stock, celery, sage, and onions.Really goes great with the Chicken & Dumplings or any gravy. A-little butter on top makes it magical.
Soup of the week is Minestrone. Hearty Italian vegetable and bean soup. Made with a tomato and vegetable broth. Comes with pasta noodles on the side that you can add to your soup after. Great with shredded Parmesan cheese on top, extra virgin olive oil and freshly cracked black pepper.
We will also have Roasted Cauliflower Soup, and Tomato and Basil Bisque on our menu this week.
Singing Bee Honey: We will be running specials leading up to the holidays so everyone is stocked up. This week’s special is a FREE 6oz squeeze bottle with any purchase. This is a great size for sharing, putting in a lunchbox, or for placing in your favorite afternoon tea spot. Just place your order as usual and a bonus bottle will be in your bag at pick-up. Quarter Spring Farm:
We is happy to be back on the market this week after an unexpected week away from you fine folks. We have our usual collection of amazing goat milk soaps. They are moisturizing and make your skin feel amazing, and the smells are great too. We have a seasonal soap available this week. Boozy Santa smells like peppermint and bourbon. We are fully stocked with pasture raised chicken. It’s better for your health and your taste buds than the alternative. We are also restocked on grass fed lamb, and have a limited amount of goat meat available.
Triple LLL Farm: We have several ‘special’ to offer this week, please check us out and Chicken Eggs.
Trinity Rose Micro Dairy: (Please return your jars, thank you!) We are enjoying making our milks and keifer for you but we are loosing money on jars and if we have to continue buying new jars we will have to charge jar deposit. Thank you very much for your consideration.
Flying S Farms:
Baking time for us, Sour Dough Breads are back, uncut loaves, sliced loaves and rolls. By request we have several of our Friendships Breads available and our Sour Cream Biscuis are back on the market.Catching up on follow up Doctor appointments, hopefully will have Jam soon.

This means our ordering timeframe will be Saturday, Nov. 23, through Monday, Nov. 25, at 10 p.m. Pickup will be on Wednesday, Nov. 27, from 2 to 4 p.m. Now is a good time to start planning your special menus and to consider what items you want to purchase through The Wednesday Market.

New – Franklin Farms Georgia Citrus is back with their delicious Satsumas! They will also be at the Saturday Mainstreet Market for November.
Doug’s Wild Alaska Salmon dropped off some more halibut and salmon! There’s some lox as well as Salmon filets and portions.
The Statesboro Mainstreet Farmers Market is open each Saturday morning for the 2024 season! The farmers market is located directly behind Visit Statesboro, at 222 South Main Street! There’s a new bridge and boardwalk connecting the Blind Willie McTell Trail to the market venue! Come out and visit your local farmers and neighbors!
Saturday Nov 9th – In honor of Veterans Day, this week’s market theme is Hometown Heroes!
